Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 June 2025
Eclara, the creators of our health app, want you to be aware of how we collect, use, and disclose your information and data. This Privacy Policy explains our practices in connection with information that we collect through the Eclara app (“App”) and any services we provide you either through the App or through our customer service practices (“Services”). Regarding data collected through the App, Eclara is the data controller. If you have any questions about privacy or wish to exercise your privacy rights, please contact general@versetech.team. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, or providing information to us in connection with the App, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.
When you use Eclara, we collect your personal data and use it to improve your experience and service. We can then increase the safety and accuracy of your predictions and give you relevant app content and product offers.
At Eclara, we believe in transparent and open communication. You can access, modify, correct, erase, or update your personal data by emailing us at general@versetech.team. Where we rely on your consent to process your personal data, you can withdraw your consent at any time. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, feel free to reach out to us.
To access the data collected by your device, you’ll need to create an Eclara account. When you create an account, we request certain personal information, such as your email address/phone address and a password. Your email address/phone number will be used for logging into your account.
You can personalize your Eclara experience by adding additional information to your profile, such as your name, gender, weight and birthdate.
Full functionality of Eclara requires you to record health-related information such as glucose levels, symptoms, medications, and other relevant data depending on the app's purpose.
When you sync your device through the Eclara app, the data recorded by your device is transferred to our servers. This information is stored and used to provide the services and is associated with your account. During each sync, we log details such as the time and date of the sync, device battery level, and IP address.
When you reach out to Eclara for assistance, we collect your email address and any additional information you provide to help resolve your issue and improve our services. If you’re logged into your account when making a request, relevant details will be automatically filled in to streamline the process. If you contact us via public forums like Twitter or Facebook, please note that we cannot guarantee the privacy of your communication on those platforms.
You can invite friends to join Eclara, whether they are already users or new to the platform. Invitations can be sent by providing their email addresses, accessing social media accounts, or using the contact list from your phone. When you share contact details to invite friends, we only use the information for this purpose, and we do not store your contact list, deleting it immediately after use.
Some features in Eclara may require the collection of location-specific data, such as GPS signals, to detect environmental conditions like weather that could impact your health. We only collect this data when you enable location-based features, and stop collecting it once you deactivate the feature. This information is stored in your Eclara account.
With your consent, Eclara can connect to third-party services such as Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect. This allows us to automatically import your health and activity data into the app without you having to log it manually. The imported data may include fitness activities, weight, height, BMI, calories burned, heart rate, steps taken/distance traveled, body temperature, sleep, and other activity metrics. This data provides insights into your health and helps us offer personalized predictions and recommendations. We process this data to deliver app features and functionality. The importation of this data is subject to the privacy policies and terms of Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect. Please also review the terms and privacy policies of any wearable devices you connect to Eclara, as your wearable provider may collect usage data for its own business purposes, including service improvements.
Personal information may include your email address, phone number and password provided at sign-up, along with details like your first name, last name, gender, geographic location, phone number, weight and date of birth ("User").
We may use your personal information for the following purposes:
No sale of personal data: We do not sell or rent your personal data for profit. Your personal information will not be disclosed except as outlined in this Privacy Policy. We may share your data with our service providers to support our services as described herein. Additionally, we do not use information obtained through Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect for advertising purposes, nor do we sell it to advertising networks, data brokers, or resellers.
By using, accessing, and inputting information into the Eclara app, you consent to the compilation, processing, and analysis of any migraine-related data (excluding personal information) that you enter now or in the future, as well as any data entered into related features or services of the app. This data may be anonymously disclosed to third parties.
We store your data (self-recorded data, device sensor data, and analytics data) on secure cloud servers, including those operated by third-party data processors such as AWS. Personally identifiable information (PII) is kept in a separate, physically segregated database from other data.
All communications are encrypted using SSL to protect data exchanged between Eclara’s servers and the app.
Our platform is fully compliant with GDPR regulations. We store patient data in various regions, including the EU, US, and Singapore/rest of the world.
Aggregating anonymized user statistics helps us enhance our services by providing insights into migraine causes, treatment responses, and population trends. The main goals of data collection are to advance migraine research and improve our services. This includes:
Your data may be disclosed to third parties in the following situations:
We retain your personally identifiable information for as long as you maintain an Eclara account. Once your account is deleted, your PII will be removed within 30 calendar days.
Regardless of your country, state, or region, Eclara is committed to respecting your individual privacy rights in accordance with GDPR regarding your personal data.
What are these rights?
Only you or an authorized representative may make a verifiable request concerning your personal data. We reserve the right to conduct reasonable checks to verify the authorization of the individual making the request (e.g., in the US, we might verify if they are registered with the California Secretary of State).
You can deactivate your Eclara account by deleting it directly through the app (Settings > Account > Delete). When you delete your account, all identifying information such as your email, name, contact list, and links to external sites like Facebook will be removed from our services. Backup copies of this data will be deleted from our servers according to an automated schedule, which means it may remain in our archive for up to 30 days.
Please note that Eclara may continue to use de-identified information after account deactivation. This information is fully anonymized and cannot be traced back to you personally. It is important to understand that identifiable data in backup copies is only removed once the account is deactivated.
Please be aware that if we receive a vague request, we may reach out to you for clarification. We may also refuse to fulfill or charge a reasonable fee for requests that are clearly unfounded or excessive (e.g., repetitive requests).
We will need to verify your identity to process your request. Typically, this involves confirming that the request comes from the same email address you used to register. If your account was not registered with an email, we may require additional verification steps to ensure proper handling of your request.
Depending on applicable laws, you may have the right to file a complaint with your local data protection authority regarding our activities. If you have concerns about our privacy practices, please contact our support team at general@versetech.team.
If you are under sixteen, please do not submit any personal data or information through the app or our website without the consent of a parent or guardian. Parents using the app or website for their children under 16 will be responsible for any data and personal information entered on their behalf.
We may reach out to you via email or other channels (such as pop-ups or push notifications) to inform you about our services, offers, promotions, rewards, and events. These communications may be tailored based on the services you use (e.g., selected modes) and the features of the app you engage with.
Opt-out Options: You can opt out of receiving marketing emails by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in those emails. Please note that opting out of marketing communications will not stop service-related emails necessary for using our services. You can also adjust your device settings to opt out of push notifications. In some cases, we may request additional consent for certain communications.
We may also send you information about our services, offers, promotions, rewards, and events through third-party platforms (such as social media).
Eclara is based in the US. The personal data we collect is transferred to and processed in the US, where it is governed by US law, and in other countries, subject to their local laws. These transfers generally occur through cloud-based services and are subject to our data retention policies. Please be aware that the data protection laws in these other countries may not be as comprehensive as those in your jurisdiction.
Transfers of Personal Data Outside the EEA and the UK
Personal data in the EEA and the UK is protected by the GDPR and the UK GDPR. When transferring personal data outside these regions, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data, including data transfer agreements with the European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses and conducting transfer risk assessments.
